Kannawidan
is one of the most awaited festivals in Ilocos Sur. During these festival
cultures, traditions and products are put into show.
One
of the main attractions in this festival is the display and sale of products
from different towns around Ilocos Sur. Where I have seen how creative Ilocono’s
are. They made Handi crafts made from indigenous materials.
There
is also a showdown on native costumes, native arts designs and some native
products held at Vigan Heritage.
The
other highlights in this festival is the vintage car presentation, living
treasure’s awarding rites and the search for Miss Saniata 2012.
This
year’s Kannawidan for me is better than of last year, because this year my mom
gave me the freedom to watch the shows every night not like last year my mom
did not allow me to go and watch the shows.
